This young lady felt that her face is disproportionate in both soft tissue volume and underlying skeletal structure. She felt that her lips were flat and unattractive for her face. A diagnosis of facail fat atrophy and mandibular angle hypoplasia was made along with a long upper lip. Facial fat transfer, placement of mandibular angle implants and an upper lip lift were performed by me. Even though her lips are still somewhat swollen from the surgery 3 months ago, notice that facial harmony has been achieved as well as a sensual lip reminiscent of today's top models.Notice that even her skin seems more radiant, possibly from the fact that fat transfer provides a rich source of stem cells below the skin and within the facial muscles
She had a previous rhinoplasty performed elsewhere. Fat transfer also was used for this problem to soften the appearance.
1.5 years later showing details of the nasal-lip area with associated scar. Notice how it is essentially invisible with little to no collateral nasal distortion. This is attributable to the superomedial muscle hemming technique that Dr Haworth has exclusively developed to tackle these problems
