This woman had undergone a previous upper lip lift (notice the white, pre-existing scar around the base of her nose). Unfortunately, she had overtly sloped upper lips as measured from the cupids bow down to her lateral oral commissures. Being one of the world's premiere aesthetic lip surgery experts, Dr. Haworth termed this premature upper vermilion tapering as "apostrophe lips".

Dr. Haworth performed an exacting procedure called a medialized corner lip lift in order to reshape the upper lip by controlling the slope of the Vermilion border. A one-year follow-up is presented. Notice the very acceptable scar along the lateral aspect of the upper Vermilion border and vastly improved shape of the lips.
